Waiting on Wednesday #12

Hey everyone and happy New Year! To kick things off this year, I will be participating in Waiting on Wednesday. WoW is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine. Every week we showcase upcoming releases that we are excited about.

This week I chose Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza!

Here are some stats!
Genre: Young Adult Science Fiction
Pages: 344
Publisher: Razorbill
Expected Publication Date: February 7, 2017
Empress
Rhee, also known as Crown Princess Rhiannon Ta’an, is the sole surviving heir to a powerful dynasty. She’ll stop at nothing to avenge her family and claim her throne.

Fugitive
Aly has risen above his war refugee origins to find fame as the dashing star of a DroneVision show. But when he’s falsely accused of killing Rhee, he's forced to prove his innocence to save his reputation – and his life.

Madman
With planets on the brink of war, Rhee and Aly are thrown together to confront a ruthless evil that threatens the fate of the entire galaxy.

A saga of vengeance, warfare, and the true meaning of legacy.

Why I'm Waiting

I love a good science fiction space adventure! This also is hinting that the book will be told from three points of view, which I am really excited about. I love it when there are several POVs. I love the idea that Rhee and Aly will have to save the entire galaxy. Plus, they seem like total opposites and I hope that they are good foils of each other in the book! And hopefully the romance (if there is any, that is..I'm just assuming) is a slow burn.

Are you looking forward to Empress of a Thousand Skies?

Thanks so much for stopping by an I'll see you soon with another post!

Happy Reading!

    1. Yeah, science fiction is pretty hard to find in YA without it being dystopian. I hope you pick it up! :) Thanks for stopping by!
