Waiting on Wednesday #67

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog! I'm Genni, and today I'll be participating in Waiting on Wednesday, and meme originally created by Jill @ Breaking the Spine. Jill hasn't been active for a while, so Tressa @ Wishful Endings has adopted it! If you see posts by the name of "Can't Wait Wednesday," it's the same thing!

The book I'm looking forward to this week is Bookish Boyfriends by Tiffany Schmidt!

In this contemporary YA, a teenager’s favorite literary heroes woo her in real life

The first of two books in an intended paperback original series about a girl whose classic literary crushes manifest in real life. Merrilee Campbell, 16, thinks boys are better in books, chivalry is dead, and there’d be nothing more romantic than having just one guy woo her like the heroes in classic stories. She’s about to get the chance to test these daydreams when she, her best friend, Eliza, and her younger sister, Rory, transfer into Reginald R. Hero High, where all their fantasies come true—often with surprising consequences.

Here are some stats about the book:
Genre - YA Contemporary Romance
Release Date - May 1, 2018
Publisher - Amulet Paperbacks
Pages - 272
Why I'm Waiting
I have actually already read this, but wanted to share it with you all! Bookish Boyfriends is a YA contemporary romance that follows Merrilee as she starts her sophomore year of high school at a different place. She begins to realize that classic book boyfriends - Romeo, Darcy, and the like - have manifested into her real life! I love the idea of this, and anyone who has had a bookish boyfriend can relate! Although Merrilee is pretty juvenile at times (she is 15!), I did have fun reading this book and I'm looking forward to when it comes out so I can read all the reviews for it!

Are you looking forward to Bookish Boyfriends?

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you soon with another post!

Happy Reading!

    1. Honestly, I have yet to fully read Pride and Prejudice!! I was assigned to read it when I was 13, and never got into it. I only read about 60 percent of it, and then just looked up the rest!! So yeah....I need to get it together and read the original! XD

    1. This was the first book I have read from hers! To be honest, I liked Bookish Boyfriends, but I didn't enjoy it enough to check out all her other books.

Thank you Alyssa! I hope you have a great rest of your week. :)
