TBR | ARCtober 2018!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I'm Genni, and today I'll be talking about all the ARCs I'm planning on participating in the ARCtober Reading Challenge. If you want to know more about ARCtober, check out Nancy's (from Tales of the Ravenous Reader) post!

Essentially, the goal of ARCtober is to read ARCs, whether they be old or new.

Here are the ARCs I am planning on reading this month!

ARCs I Have (Top Priority)

Mr. Nice Guy by Jennifer Miller and Jason Feifer
Release Date: October 16, 2018
 Goodreads

Mr. Nice Guy is my current ARC right now. If I'm being honest, I am not liking the book that much. But, I am over halfway through, and I want to finish the book. Hopefully the last 40 percent is an improvement!

Mirage by Somaiya Daud
Release Date: August 28, 2018
 Goodreads

I have had the ARC of Mirage for a pretty long time, but never managed to take the time and prioritize the read. I think I am around halfway through the book. So many bloggers raved about Mirage, and though I was enjoying it, I had yet to fall in love with the novel. The plot was just picking up right as I took a break from the book, so I think I will really like the rest!

Toil and Trouble: 15 Tales of Women & Witchcraft
Edited by: Tess Sharpe, Jessica Spotswood
Release Date: August 28, 2018
Goodreads

I regret requesting this. You know when you get click-happy?? Yeah, that's what happened to me. I want to get into reading anthologies, which is why I requested Toil and Trouble, but I've never been too interested in anything witchy...which is the whole book! I'm hoping to read a story a day to read it.

S.T.A.G.S. by M.A. Bennett
Release Date: August 10, 2017
 Goodreads

When I requested STAGS, I had yet to look at the goodreads page. It hasn't gotten the best of reviews, and I've been putting this ARC on the backburner becasue I'm wary of disliking it.

Analee, In Real Life by Janelle Milanes
Release Date: September 18, 2018
Goodreads

I'm also reading this ARC right now when I get the chance and I'm loving it! Analee has some social anxiety, her and her best friend (Lily) aren't talking, and she's hopelessly in love with her gamer friend she's never met online. When Seb, the "it" boy of the shcool, proposes they fake date, the plot gets rolling. I'm only 25% of the way through, but I'm really liking it.

The Raging Ones by Krista and Becca Ritchie
Release Date: August 14, 2018
 Goodreads
I was ~shook~ when I was approved for The Raging Ones. I honestly rquested the ARC not thikng that I would get accepted for it. Sometimes I struggle to differentiate among different points of view. if the voices are distinct enough, I won't have too many issues though.

Trouble Brewing by Suzanne Balstar
Release Date: September 25, 2018
Goodreads

I think I'll be reading this one near the end of the month. I'm not really in the romance mood right now, and I want to give Trouble Brewing it's best shot. Who knows? I might download some other ARCs instead once I bolster my ratio with the ARCs previously mentioned.

To Download/Request (Second Priority)

This Cruel Design by Emily Suvada
Release Date: October 30, 2018
 Goodreads

This Cruel Design is the sequel to This Mortal Coil, which was one of my favorite books of last year. Check out my review here! This might be my most anticipated in this post. I want to read some of the ARCs I have before I request another one though, so I'll probably be reading this during the second half of the month.

Rabbit & Robot by Andrew Smith
Release Date: September 25, 2018
 Goodreads

This is a big question mark for me. I have never read anything by Andrew Smith, but a lot of people are fans of him! Rabbit & Robot is a sci-fi novel with addiction, cannibalistic robots, and Earth is inhabitable. I am in the sci-fi mood, so I'll be downloading this one after reading (most of) the books that are a higher priority.

Dry by Neal and Jarrod Shusterman
Release Date: October 2, 2018
 Goodreads

I also haven't read anything from Neal Shusterman! Dry is cowritten by Neal Shusterman and his son, Jarrod Shusterman. If I'm not mistaken, Dry has already been optioned for film. This is a dystopian about water running out, and gives me Not a Drop to Drink vibes. I haven't read that book either! I haven't read a dystopian in quite some time, so it'll be fun to get back into the genre!

That is my TBR for ARCtober! Have you read any of these books? What did you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you soon with another post!

Happy Reading!
