My pick for this week is Reunited by Colleen Houck!
After surviving her otherworldly adventure, Lily wakes up on her nana’s farm having forgotten everything. Her sun prince, her travels to Egypt, and her journey to the Afterlife are all distant memories.
But Lily is not the girl she once was. Her body is now part human, part lion, and part fairy. And if that isn’t bad enough, she must now harness this power of three and become Wasret: a goddess destined to defeat the evil god Seth once and for all.
With the help of her old friend Dr. Hassan, Lily departs on her final voyage through the cosmos and across the plains of Egypt. On the journey, she will transform into the being she is destined to become.
Reunited is the heart-pounding conclusion to the Reawakened series.
It is time for Lily to find her sunset.
Why I'm Waiting
I'm actually currently reading the second book (well, at the time I'm writing this I am! If all goes well, I'll be done by the time this post comes up!) of this series, Recreated. This series, if you are unfamiliar, follows college-bound teen Lily as she accidentally gets thrown into a world of Egyptian mythology and curses. I didn't LOVE Reawakened, the first book, but I did have a fun time. Recreated is okay so far, and I'm overall just looking forward to finishing another series.
Have you read this series or anything by Colleen Houck? What did you think?
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you soon with another post!
Genni @ Ready, Set, Read!
OOh nice! I really liked this one! Hope you will too!

Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
That's great to here! Sometimes series falter with the third book, so it's relieving to hear that you liked it. :)
DeleteI haven't read this series and I haven't heard great things about the author, but I do love this cover! It's so creepy, and the pink is lovely :) Hope you love it when you read it!

Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
Yeah I wouldn't necessarily recommend reading here... The books in the Reawakened series are fine, but nothing amazing. Back in the day I read The Tiger Curse series. While I loved the first two books, the last two were (unfortunately) a train wreck. Thanks for stopping by Amy!
DeleteI have this series on my TBR - it looks fun and I love the Egyptian mythology aspects!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty fun and it's a quick read too! I hope you like it if you ever give the series a go!
DeleteGreat pick! This book and author are both new to me. I'm not sure this is my type of book, but I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by my WoW!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jacque! And of course. :)
DeleteThis is my first time hearing about this series and this author. I can't believe I haven't heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice this week, I hope you love it when it comes out :)
Here is my WOW
Thanks Aneta! Colleen Houck is pretty well known, but I'm not too surprised that you haven't heard of her. Her other series was really popular about five years ago.
DeleteIt does look kinda fun! I like the Egyptian mythology elements. I hope the series ends on a good note. Lovely cover on this one too!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! And yes, the covers are great!
DeleteI've thought it looked interesting, but every review is less than enthusiastic. The covers look soooo compelling. I think I'll wait for a book you LOved!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Can't Wait Wednesday
That's what I'm worried about! I'm not in love with this series by any means, so at least my expectations are low. :)
DeleteOooh! This looks like an interesting book! Great pick!

Thanks Ronyell! I'll be sure to stop by. :)
DeleteI read the first book and liked it, but I couldn't stand what I heard about the drama in book two. A nice reader gave me spoilers and I turned tail. It's a shame because I lived book one. Oh well! I hope you enjoy this one when you get the chance to read it!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic week, Genni. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Yeah the drama that is happening right now is really weird and doesn't flow too well. It seems like everything is coming out of left field. It's obvious that Houck did a lot of research, but so much so that it feels like the book is a constant info-dump.
DeleteThank you Alyssa! You as well. :)
I loved the first book in the series, and recently read a novella that goes with it. But now I've got to read book two so that I can get excited for this one! Great pick! Thanks for visiting my WOW on Lisa Loves Literature earlier!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually reading the second book now! Unfortunately, I'm not enjoying it too much. I do want to finish the series though. You're welcome! Thanks for stopping on by here. :)
DeleteI've read her Tiger series! And I hope to read this series, but not quite yet! Great pick! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I'm just getting back to you now! I hope you like it more than I am. I'm about to start Reunited tomorrow, so fingers crossed it's good! Thanks. :)
