Black Friday Book Haul!

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! I know that this is extremely late, but hey! Better late than never, am I right? I'm going to be showing you guys the books that I bought on Black Friday in November! Most of these are from Book Outlet (all except two, actually).

Sadly, I want to be able to read these until after Christmas because they are part of my gifts. I figured that I could still post about them because I knew which books I was getting, considering I bought them! :) All of the links on the title will take you to the goodreads page. Also, sorry this post is SUPER long!

A thing you'll notice is that most of these are new adult novels. If you don't know what New Adult is, it is a genre between Young Adult and Adult that features twenty somethings and them growing up. There were so many new adult novels I found on Book Outlet, and because I am pretty new to the genre, I picked up anything that was interesting.

As you see, I bought P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han. I read this novel earlier this year and loved it! I got a discount and then an extra twenty percent off in Target. I also got I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson for the same deal as way. I love both of these covers. This cover of I'll Give You the Sun is an alternative cover, but I really love it! Next up is Breathe Into Me by Sarah Fawkes. To learn more about this book, check out my review of it! I really liked it and the book took me by surprise. I next bought a book from a  staple author in the New Adult genre, Abbi Glines. I bought the Vincent Boys, the first book in her series of the same name. I randomly decided on buying Searching for Someday by Jennifer Probst as well. It has a super fun premise and I'm excited to be reading this.

I am a massive fan of Lisa Schroeder, so when I saw a book by her that my library does not have, I pounced. Schroeder writes most of her books in verse, but Falling for You is special. It is written in dual POVs, one in verse and the other in prose. Next up is The Boy Next Door by Katie Van Ark. This is all about two ice skating partners who are in love with each other. I haven't read much, or any, book that takes place or centers around the ice skating world, so I'm excited to see what happens. I also bought True by Erin McCarthy. This is your classic new adult novel set in college, and I'm ready for a fun read. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire is infamous in the new adult genre. It is both much loved and hated, so I am anxious to see where I fall on the spectrum. Breakable is the sequel/companion novel to Easy by Tammara Webber. I read Easy early this year, and I adored it! I can't wait to read the story again in a different perspective.

These two are books one two, and five in the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I started and finished this series this year. I did have Lux: Consequences, which includes book three and four, in my cart, but they sold out before I finalized my purchase. Over time, I hope to get the other bind up so that I can have all five books. The Lux series is pretty well known, and though I had my issues with the first two books, the last three were really great.
So these are the last four books I read. Five Ways to Fall and Ten Tiny Breaths are both part of a companion novel series by K.A. Tucker. They seem to be drama filled in the best way, and I can't wait to read these come next year. When on Book Outlet, I saw that most are my books I was buying were extremely angsty, so I wanted to buy a children's book. I Haiku You by Betsy Snyder is a book full of haikus that focus on love. It just looked so cutesy and I now it will brighten up my day whenever I read it. Last but certainly not least, I bought A Little Night Magic by Lucy March. This book is new adult, but features magic as well. I hope I have as much fun reading it as the synopsis makes the book sound!

So that was my Black Friday Haul! Have you read or bought any of these books?

Thanks you so much for stopping by and I'll see you guys soon with another post!

Happy Reading!

  1. "I Haiku You" looks so cute. I will wait for your opinion about it, since I've read haiku before and was not very into it :)

    1. It does! I really wanted to get a book that was just a light and fun read that would get my mind off of things. I think the subject matter really determines whether or not a person is into a haiku or not. If it's written about something I have no interest in, then I'm probably not going to like it.
