It's so much fun to watch and the actors portray their characters so well. The cast has so much chemistry with each other and the world building is phenomenal. I have been watching this with my mom, and both of us have never gotten confused before, which is hard to do for a fantasy series.

The Shannara Chronicles expands on its world with every episode. While they do this with the trials Will and the main cast faces, they also use the secondary characters very well. Bandon, a boy who can predict the future of people's deaths, is one of my favorite side characters. I'm excited to see how his story arc progresses.

As of right now, I am watching the seventh episode of the first season. I'm sad to think that the season is going to be wrapping up in the next three episodes. Wathcing Pykon truly shows the promise of the series. The Shannara Chronicles easily builds the tension and suspense throughout the episode and series as a whole. There are so many twists and turns that I never see coming. I can't wait to see how the series will end! Hopefully the series will be renewed for a second season!
What have you guys thought about the Shannara Chronicles? Have you been watching the series or are you planning on watching it later?
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon with another post!
Happy Reading!

I've only watched the first five episodes so far, but I agree with you 100%! Have you ever read the Shannara book series by Terry Brooks? :)
ReplyDeleteI have not! I really want to though. My library has them, so after the season ends I want to try reading the series this summer. Have you? Thanks for commenting Lauren! :D
DeleteI've read quite a few of the books in the series - I got hooked on them back when was in high school! I would start with the original trilogy which begins with The Sword of Shannara, then moves onto The Elfstones of Shannara, and concludes with The Wishsong of Shannara. Elfstones is where the tv show takes up. Hope you like them! :)
DeleteI think between the top new shows Shannara and Shadow Hunters, I am really enjoying Shannara! I haven't seen last week's episode but ep5 had me gasping! So good and what a great cast! -Tina
